Located just outside of Llafranc, in Calella, the Cap Roig Gardens offer a beautiful array of plants and flowers. The Perfect for strolling leisurely through the gardens and taking in the beauty of the Mediterranean.
Created in the 1920s by the Russian colonel Nicolai Woevodsky and his wife, these botanical gardens have a unique combination of Mediterranean and exotic plants and feature a variety of pathways, terraces, ponds and sculptures as well as an amphitheater.
The gardens have been maintained and enhanced by the Jardins de Cap Roig Foundation since 1998. The gardens have even been used as a backdrop for films, music videos and concerts.

Go on the Coastal Hike
Our favorite!
Going for the coastal hike is one of our favorite things to do!
From Llafranc —> Tamariu: 1.5 hours.
Degree of Difficulty: a combination between flat paths but definitely some steep parts. There are usually things to hold on to when walking these parts. Propper sneakers are advised.
Where to begin: If you are starting in Llafranc, you will start the hike from the top of the lighthouse “El Far.” You can walk along the winding road on the sidewalk all the way up to the El Far (or if you have a car, maybe you want to drive up the hill and park at El Far for an easier start ;)
From Calella —> Tamariu: ~2 hours.
If you are starting in Callella, you will walk along the coast to Llafranc and up to El Far.
Getting back to Llafranc/Calella: We like to go for a rest/swim/lunch in Tamariu and then slowly hike back. Keep in mind, this will be another ~1.5hr walk.
